Head Limited Overs tournament[edit]

The initially restricted overs cricket competition in Sri Lanka was the Brown's Trophy in 1988–89.[4] Only four groups contended in the inaugural rivalry: Sinhalese Sports Club (victors); Nondescripts Cricket Club (runners-up); Galle Cricket Club; Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club. The competition was renamed the Hatna Trophy in 1990–91 and afterward issued its current name Premier Limited Overs Tournament in 1998–99. 

The opposition to date has been overwhelmed by three groups: Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club has won five times; Sinhalese Sports Club and Nondescripts Cricket Club have won four times each.

Australia[edit] 

A few Australian groups ceased and played matches in Ceylon while heading out to England and back. 

In the outcome of World War II, came the Australian Services cricket group in Ceylon and India in 1945-46, emphasizing Keith Miller who scored a century in Colombo.
