Zimbabwe was chosen to full enrollment of the ICC in 1992, and played its inaugural Test match versus India at the Harare Sports Club on 18–22 October 1992. The match was drawn, and in this manner Zimbabwe turned into the first group to abstain from losing its inaugural Test match since Australia beat England in the first Test in 1877.
